Welcome to the Rotary Club of Chicago Near South

The Rotary Club of Chicago Near South meets virtually on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, from Noon to 1:30.  We serve Chicago's South Side neighborhoods of South Loop, Bronzeville, Armour Square, Bridgeport  Oakland and Hyde Park. Members can join from all over the Metro area.

We welcome you to join us online for our bi-weekly meetings and in-person for our social and service projects. Send inquiries to rotarycns@gmail.com

The Club was founded in 2003 on the campus of Illinois Institute of Technology in historic Bronzeville.  Its original vision was to link the power of Rotary with the energy and excitement of university students, faculty and staff, while also engaging neighboring institutions and individuals in serving its South Side Community and the world.

In July, 2023, we celebrated our 20th anniversary as a club, while also embracing a new mission as a virtual club, with members throughout Chicagoland.  However, we are still dedicated to working with organizations and individuals to help improve the health, well being and environment of our South Side neighbors.

WE CONNECT PEOPLE

Rotary unites more than a million people

Through Rotary clubs, people from all continents and cultures come together to exchange ideas, and form friendships and professional connections while making a difference in their backyards and around the world.

WE TRANSFORM COMMUNITIES

We take action locally and globally

Each day, our members pour their passion, integrity, and intelligence into completing projects that have a lasting impact. We persevere until we deliver real, lasting solutions.

WE SOLVE PROBLEMS

No challenge is too big for us

For more than 110 years, we’ve bridged cultures and connected continents to champion peace, fight illiteracy and poverty, promote clean water and sanitation, and fight disease.

Together, we see a world

where people unite and take action

to create lasting

change across the globe,

in our communities, and in ourselves.
